Default Chris Froome wins Tour de France

Kenyan-South-African-British cyclist Chris Froome has won the Tour de France, although he cycles for the British team. Congratulations to this wonderful cyclist. I can't say how full of admiration I am for his marvellous cycling skills

Okay.

Nevertheless, I'm willing to put money down that he's a doper - along with all the rest of the field that he beat.

Short of figure-skating, international cycling seems to be the most rotten of corrupted sports and the one with the most blatant doping/cheating.

I don't agree. I think he's innocent.

I'm just rationally betting the odds. You apparently are going on faith/hope.

The Tour de France has had an unofficial reputation for heavy doping/cheating (with official collusion) that long preceded the arrival of Lance Armstrong.

If I read tomorrow, that he was guilty, then I'll happily transfer my reverence to the man who came behind him. And if he was doped, I'd happily transfer my reverence to the man who came behind him. And so on, and so on. I am convinced that at least two cyclists in the Tour de France were clean, and one of them must have been faster than the other. So in fact, there was a winner, and at this moment in time, Chris Froome embodies that winner.

I believe he's innocent, because he has passed all the tests, and because those tests must be really brilliant, since so many many many cyclists were caught by them in the last 10-11 years, Armstrong being but one.

So you and I both have faith in what we believe, and we both back it up by reasoning.

If you insist on saying that your reasoning is superior to mine, then be my guest.

He's probably doped up to his eyeballs just like all of them have been for decades. As a kid I enjoyed the Tour especially the mountain stages but nowadays every heroic action is immediately suspicious. They're driving up those mountains again at speeds that are close to those of the worst generation of dopers (Pantani/Virenque/Armstrong). I doubt it's all on a good steak and French Fries.

Well, I disagree. I think Froome is innocent. I've given my reasoning, and you have given yours.
