Name a country in Europe whose first foreign-born monarch had the same name as that country's first foreign-born national football (soccer) coach.

Do you include only monarchs of the line in the present installment of countries or the whole dynasties going back to AD400 or so ?

Well, I'll only say this; the title king is commonly attached to his name. I don't count any other titles apart from king/queen as monarchs. Thank you for asking that very good question, and reminding me to clear that up.

If I had a list of "first foreign-born national football coaches", I could nail this off the top of my head since I know most of the monarchies of Europe going back to circa 1100 AD.

Yes, this is a sort of a biathlon question, you need to know both history and sport.
Shall I give the answer soon? (I'm not sure what the tradition is)

There are zero actual kings before 800 AD in Europe. Charles (aka Charlemagne) is the first and the official 'fountain of honor' for most of the kingdoms of Europe.

There were several Germanic tribal chieftans who have been referred to as "kings" but they weren't actual kings the way we understand the term (they didn't inherit the office from their father or pass it on to their son). Ancient Germanic tradition had "tribal war-chief" position that has often been called "kings".

Well, I've already said that the title 'king' is commonly attached to his name, so that rules out any of the chieftains, and it also rules out Roman emperors.

When you say "name" I presume you refer to first names (aka Christian names) not family names?

Okay - I just looked up the national coaches for England, Germany and France. None of them are foreign born.

Poland has a new coach named Adam, but I can't think of any Polish kings named Adam.

The word 'first' appears twice in the question (first foreign-born coach, as well as first foreign-born monarch, as you can see below, and I mean first name, so you are right.
