Do you mean that cars will generate all the energy they need to drive as they drive? Theoretically one could do that with solar power, but the car (and solar panels) would have to be incredibly lightweight and speed would be limited. Also there's the problem of rainy days...

As far as gaining wind energy from the movement of the car to power said movement, I'm fairly certain the laws of Physics prohibit that. Moving a turbine forward at velocity X simply cannot generate the energy required to move a turbine forward at velocity X. If it could, you'd have a perpetual motion machine.

On a different note, though, I've heard some cool ideas about roadside turbines to capture the energy in the wind created by passing cars. They wouldn't generate the energy it took the car to drive past, but they would capture some energy that otherwise goes to waste. Not sure what their efficiency/cost ration would be though...

There are uncountable individuals and formal entities seeking capital for what's known in the investment community as Green projects. Most depend on federal and state tax breaks to attract investment with cash flow projections based what seems to be emotion. Given dismal current and future economic circumstances anything that can't project cash flow on reality is viewed as .com stuff.

Only if you consider looking past a five year maximum profit margin in the interests of protecting earth from becoming a barren wasteland "emotion."

I don't see any unions stepping forward to invest in Green projects with their retirement funds.

Read up on Taft Hartley.

And I wouldn't expect you to notice/recognize/acknowledge the good things that unions do anyway. You're nearly pathological in your distaste for them. (For instance bringing them up in this thread.)

Edit: not to put to fine a point on it but...

Disgust for regressive, organized intimidation, yes.

Perhaps you can control your emotions and stick to issues rather than posting personal insults.

And yet you ignore the part of my post relevant to the topic.

A personal insult on a public forum is relevant to adolescent social conduct.
