Precisely why I question the rationale of Russia participating in this... Let our young girls compete against bearded transvestites? My God... Let the Europeans revel in their/your sexual fetishes, but why must we be subjected to this? We made clear we do not want this in our society when banned Verka Serdyuchka from our televisions.

Should have pulled out when first saw this. That was when my children stopped watching it too, i turned off the TV.

I think it was a protest against Putin's recent anti-gay policies. Not just the act, but also the fact that the people of Europe gave him victory. Don't you think so?

Indeed, Russia actually spoke out against this: http://www.macleans.ca/news/world/ru...en-contestant/

Well, Nick, we do not think someone like this should be on TV. I mean, alright, he is a man who was born woman, or vise versa, I do not know, nor care particularly, the point is, do you, in Europe, put people with other birth defects on television too, where they can flaunt it in everyone's face? Hey, look, I was born with a 3d eye, I am so proud! Etc. Do you not see how ridiculous this is? Do you think this would happen anywhere outside the West?

And, one should win through talent, not pity or political correctness. The Ukrainian singer was much better than that bearded thing, IMHO Yes, I say that The Ukrainian, in my opinion, was better than our girls too. Deserved to win. But, that is Europe. Where they want to go so much lol No wonder Crimea, and now Donbass, are fighting to tear themselves away from this... They just chased the Ukrainian National Guard out of Mariupol, by the way, killed their commander. Kiev is losing Donbass, just as it lost Crimea. People there do not want to live in Europe, and have their children grow up watching transvestites on TV, sorry

That's strange - instead of answering my question, you just tell me the same things that you've told me many times before. Could you answer the question?

Do you think the act was a protest against Putin's recent anti-gay policies? I do. Do you think the people of Europe, in giving him victory, were protesting against Putin's recent anti-gay policies? I do.
