Congratulations to Ukraine for winning, it seems Europe thinks highly of the Ukrainian entry!

As long as the next one is not in Moscow, I am happy

And if Russia is not in it at all, even better

Well, phone Putin and tell him your thoughts. Oh, I forgot - you don't have his phone number.

Ukraine won, the singer was a woman called Jamala. She is a Muslim Tatar and she sang a song about Stalin's troops forcing Tatars out of the Crimea in 1944.

Congratulations to Jamala and Ukraine!

Here is the song;

Just that, despite all the troubles between us, Russians and Ukrainians still supported each other, including with votes... That must mean something...

Also, go look on Wikipedia, on the popular TV audience vote Russsia won hands down, and that is what matters The people support Russia, just the stupid juries do not.

We won, and do not have to waste money on hosting this thing later. Great job, Lazarev and others

So, a good night all round. Russians' and Ukrainians' showing each other friendly sings, Europe gesturing positively to Ukraine, Ukraine seemlingly very happy about Europe's positive gesture, you happy not to have to see your tax roubles go to next year's edition, you happy about the popular vote's going to Russia, you caring about Eurovision (Russians caring about Eurovision is good for harmony in Europe (Europe including Russia, as the Vladivostockians would agree with) and Ukrainians, sometimes believed to be very conservative, perfectly happy to win the same competition as Conchita Wurst. Seems like a lot of happiness has been caused by last night's Eurovision.
