Seems individual liberty isn't for everyone.

If the pope is warning against libertarianism in general, he's way off base. However, if he's warning about that particularly and specifically American form of anarcho-capitalism that likes to call itself "Libertarian", then the pope is 100% correct.

Liberty without responsibility is the core principle of American style libertarianism. Liberty, combined with duty and responsibility is liberalism.

Libertarianism pretty much runs against most of what the Catholic Church teaches considering that socialism is the offical party line of the Catholic Church.

Yes, but it does seem vaguely compatible with the US rightwing evangelicals since they vote 100% indistinguishable from regular US rightwing extremists.

Yeah, even their leaders are getting confused by that one at this point. There were a number of big name evangelical theologians that told people not to vote for Trump. They got ignored.
