Bild Zeitung is like a twin of Sun though, they even have the exact same type of page 3 girl, everyday. Except that the German lost last time, so probabily not much to boast about and better avoid the subject. However, I can see the Sun exploiting it like a gang of Japanese middle aged businessmen touring Bankok, going down on a 12yr virgin Thai hooka.....
You can bank on it. The Brit tabloids have no shame at all.

Btw, that's a rather 'colorful' analogy you got there....

I wonder if the defeated French team will now start sabotaging the German bench.

Just a wee bit of tasteless WWII humor.

Very tasteless given that far more of France was engaged in wholesale collaboration with their Nazi rulers than were engaged in resistance.

That the French resistence was a big thing in the war is mostly a function of postwar propaganda by the French. In reality, the big resistence movement during WW2 was down in the Balkans.

Well shucks. Germany knocked Serbia out of the tournament too.

Yes, the Serbians definitely had a big resistence movement going. It gave rise to Tito after the war.

Completely unrelated to the world cup, but have you seen the Serbian movie "Underground?"

No, but it follows a couple of people in Yugoslav Serbia from WWII to 1993. Hilarious, tragic, dark, and brilliant.
