Default Superbowl

I hope football fans enjoyed it. I didn't know who won (or was playing) until seeing AM net news clogged with reports of the ads, half-time show and even a few brief mentions of the game itself.

It was a good game aside from the 34 minutes where the power went out in the stadium...

Isn't the actual game being a small part of the festivities what makes the Superbowl successful in America?

I know, and even understand, that. Such things are cultural. I have much the same thought about Soccer.

You might enjoy The Super Bowl as Religious Festival.

It has made the rounds for a few decades but still seems relevant. Any comment on that particular definition of American culture?
