This makes me laugh. No religion on this planet is a 'religion of peace'. None.

They all have very long histories of some of the worst and most brutal violence carried out in very routine ways with 100% support from the religious authorities.

It is the historical record that condemns religion as little more than a blood-sport.

I might add that the only thing that stops Christian blood-letting in the 21st century appears to be laws against it. There are no laws against Muslim blood-letting in Muslim countries, so that continues apace (though much reduced in scale compared to the past glory/gory years).

For me, saying that religions don't kill as many innocent people as they used to isn't very impressive or respectable at all.
